The government does
not regulate the media in Honduras, and there is no censorship of any kind of
content. We have access to any type of content that we want, and we use the
social network for entertainment, to study, to get informed, to express sudden
state of feelings, or to share any type of contents.
The media in Honduras has
the task of expressing the points of view of the society and try to be an annex
between the state and the nation, however today the media have neglected their real
purpose, for profit; since not all the news media have no real research or if
no goals are not based on opinions or what people say but not in a serious
investigation, so today many people see the media as a means of entertainment
but not as a means of information.
The media is required
to report, investigate, analyze, and develop their work with objectivity,
fairness, ethics and rationality, conscious of the social role, but sometimes
this doesn’t happen in the country.
Have there been any movements/demonstrations in your country that were intensified by the social media users?
ReplyDeleteNot exactly riots, but some political parties use the social media as a medium to organise movements through out all the country.
